Charlotte F. Tletski Gold Dove Award

Criteria for the Award

This award was designed to recognize an individual in a volunteer capacity within the community who has made a difference in the lives of cancer patients. The Gold Dove Award is in memory of Char Tletski, a dear friend of Journey of Hope, who made a difference in the life of everyone she touched.

The recipient of this award should have demonstrated a commitment to:

Educate the public about cancer awareness and early detection.
Support individuals and their families that have a cancer diagnosis by participating in cancer education and being available to support cancer survivors and their families by donating their time and efforts.
Maintain a focus on all levels of hope while supporting the cancer survivor.

Describe how the volunteer has affected their community, work place, church and/or family. This will help JOH in the selection process. The award will be presented at the Annual Hope Luncheon on Saturday, November 3, 2007.

Social Worker of the Year Award

Criteria for the Award

This past year marked the first Journey of Hope Social Worker of the Year Award. This award was added to highlight a social worker who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. This individual not only assists in the funding process for cancer patients, but also provides outstanidng support to Journey of Hope in the areas of community and institutional connections.
