About Us

Journey of Hope was founded in 1999 by a group of individuals who have all had experience with cancer.  This disease affects  family, friends and colleagues and one rarely meets someone who has not had their life altered in some way by cancer. 

Research is making promising strides toward finding a cure, but the need for financial support is something that research cannot address. 

The focus of Journey of Hope is to provide significant financial assistance to adult cancer patients so that they may focus their  efforts on fighting the disease.  The funding provided helps alleviate the added stress associated with overwhelming financial burdens.  Many applicants are unable to work due to the effects of treatment and have had their income and insurance  interrupted or stopped entirely. There is generally no alternate resource to serve as a safety net and nowhere else to turn.

Alleviating this concern allows the patient to focus on fighting this disease, regaining their health and ultimately returning to the labor force.

Led by a core of dedicated volunteers, Journey of Hope is completely dedicated to raising much needed money to help sustain these patients. To be successful, we must request assistance from both the private and corporate sector to build a network of loyal supporters.

Each dollar we generate will make a tremendous difference to someone within the local community.  Your support will allow us to continue to make a difference in the lives of adult cancer patients.
